Founder and acting Principal owner of Koopman Concepts Aaron Koopman brings over 20 years of construction experience. Originally born in Maryland, Aaron has lived in Ponte Vedra/Jacksonville for 27 years. He graduated from the University of North Florida with a bachelor’s degree in building construction management. He has built over a million sqft of commercial real estate from high profile clients like Boston Whaler, Chase Bank, and Jenkins Family. His core motivation comes from a desire to be an elite contractor and support his community by constructing stunning buildings. He speaks Spanish, just not as well as his wife.

As a certified General Contractor he uses that background skillset to serve a variety of customs in both Commercial and Residential. Grounded by enjoying volunteering with his family in a Bible based education ministry, golf, surfing and his beloved Jaguars. GO JAGS!

Shana is a hard working mother of two, she balances the joys and responsibilities of family life with her passion for supporting the success of the family business. To Shana, her family is her foundation, and she brings the same commitment, dedication, and attention to detail that she does in the home and applies it to everything she does professionally. Shana is a fellow transplant from Northern Michigan. She speaks Spanish where she learned it from volunteering in Ecuador and Nicaragua. Shana stepped away from a career in website/content and marketing management. She now operates as the Business’ office admin and marketing manager while carrying for her two beautiful children. She’s been known to do a fair amount of working out, shopping, and boating.

Devin manages Koopman Concepts Pre-Construction and Business Development divisions. Devin is charged with expanding the company throughout the region and is based in St. Augustine.

Prior to joining Koopman Concepts, Devin worked for a Florida concrete subcontractor focusing on estimating and buy out in the multifamily sector on projects throughout the East Coast of the United States. Most recently he served as the Director of Sales leading a team responsible for network development and growth for a regional fiber telecom organization. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction Management from the University of north Florida.

Devin’s focus is his Faith and Family. His wife and three children are always together doing something outdoors or traveling as a family. He volunteers in and out of the state to assist with disaster relief work through his congregation. Devin brings to our team over two decades of sales and leadership management along with commercial construction experience.

Jon is a finance professional with over 10 years of experience in investment banking, as well as accounting. Jonathan has spent the last six years leading projects that drive efficiency and business growth. Known for strategic problem-solving and a results-driven approach, Jon is committed to delivering impactful financial solutions and process improvements.

He and his wife Miko are driven by their volunteer work where they serve as volunteers in their religious organizations helping with Disaster Relief work all over Florida. 

David Claros reinforces the Koopman Concepts team as a Project Manager. His background is as diverse as it is impressive. With construction always being a strong fundamental in his career he grew his abilities in the design and marketing world working for Fidelity National Financial as a Senior Designer and Marketing specialist for nearly 10 years. This experience as well as his education certificates brings a much needed artistic and technical approach to the many construction challenges in both the Commercial and Residential sectors.

Samuel Pizarro leads our field operations as seasoned construction professional with over 25 years of industry experience. Starting as a carpenter, Samuel developed a diverse skill set in general carpentry, trim carpentry, and concrete forming, with a strong focus on quality control. His extensive 12-year tenure at Law Engineering as an engineering technician involved rigorous tasks such as rebar inspections, quality control, and concrete and soil sampling and testing. This expertise paved the way for his promotion to the role of Superintendent, where he has led numerous significant commercial and industrial projects.

As General Superintendent, Samuel has excelled in managing large construction teams, coordinating efforts among subcontractors, and ensuring projects like Baptist Medical Center Downtown, St. Vincent Hospital, Riverside Baptist, Medical Center Southside, JEA power plants, GRU power plants, Jacksonville University, University of Florida, NASA facilities, Anheuser Busch, Metal Container, and other prominent initiatives are completed on schedule and within budget. His profound understanding of concrete forming techniques and dedication to quality control have ensured that these structures meet the highest industry standards.

Known for his proactive problem-solving skills and strict adherence to safety regulations, Samuel consistently maintains efficient and safe job sites. His adeptness in interpreting complex blueprints and specifications allows him to seamlessly bridge the gap between design and execution. Throughout his career, Samuel’s relentless pursuit of excellence and his pivotal role in advancing construction methodologies, especially in concrete construction and quality assurance, have earned him widespread recognition and respect in the field.

Javier Reyes represents Koopman Concepts as a Site Superintendent He comes with an amazing pedigree in Masonry and an even better reputation in the industry. Javier brings positivity and charisma to the works atmosphere. Javier started his Construction debut at the age of 16 working as mason tender. Javier was able to climb up the ladder working for one of the top masonry companies is north Florida. He strives to see North Florida and beyond grow. Leaving his mark of professionalism and quality on landmarks projects like the Cambria hotels, Atlantic storages, Matanzas high school, UF hospitals, and Boston Whaler Manufacturing Plant. He and his wife have two beautiful twin girls that take up any time he has, balanced of course with the occasional spotting on the soccer field and golf course.

Joseph Krsek serves as s a Site Superintendent. Joseph is a Veteran of the US military and served his time in a War. Joseph brings to Koopman Concepts a valued leader that serves with Honor, Integrity, and commitment. Joseph got his start in construction at 15 years old as a laborer for a landscaping company. After the military Joseph spent 20 years as Heavy civil equipment operator before expanding his experience to commercial concrete. Developing his skills for previous construction companies Joseph became a foreman responsible for all dirt work, foundations, grade beams, and superstructure components of a building both vertical and horizontal. Safety has always a core priority and Quality is the standard. Joseph has experience in building high budget, highly architectural projects such as: Blue origin launch facility, OIA’S terminal C, Space Florida’s hanger A’ road and hanger, to several Hospitals throughout the country. Joseph loves what he does and brings vast knowledge and leadership to the construction site.

Mi’ko provides a number of valued services to the team. Her primary role supports our preconstruction team with estimating, marketing, and vendor coordination. She is our dedicated social media specialist with five years of experience in digital engagement, content creation, and customer service. With a strong background in managing social media platforms, Mi’ko has successfully built brand awareness, increased audience engagement, and fostered meaningful customer relationships. Mi’ko thrives in fast-paced environments, leveraging creativity and driving business growth. She also dedicates a great deal of her time and energy to a full time volunteer work helping those affected by natural disasters.
